Before training as a psychoanalyst I worked in the field of mental health and as an academic.
My experience in mental health reaches back to 1995, working in a number of different roles for national and local mental health charities.
I'm a Member of CFAR (Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research), where I undertook my clinical training, and where I've taught on the Centre's seminar programme.
I'm also a Member of the Lacanian Forum of London of the School of Psychoanalysis of the Forums of the Lacanian Field, and a Member of The College of Psychoanalysts UK.
I have a PhD in Sociology from the University of Manchester and I've taught and held research positions at a series of UK universities.
